Viviane Maghela (Maghy)
Maghy is the first artist's agent to be in residence in the framework of the
Portfolio Program. Bonendale seemed ideal for a research work that would involve
music poetry and visual arts. As a meeting place for young artists, it could
also provide a bulk of useful data for the understanding of the working of
the local art scene as well as allow first hand contact with people she will
probably work with in the future.
Maghy's first contact with ArtBakery was intended to introduce Dodji Effoui
(visual artist) and Mario Combo (singer) with the hope that they could be
involved in the activities of the "artist's initiative".
Finally, her residency occurred way before that of Dodji .
She spent three months in a row. But as it has become a tradition now with
most of the former residents,
she often comes back for stays ranging from a few days to a full month.
